What to review before listing a Punta Cana condo

A ready-to-rent home needs more than attractive photos. Work through access, equipment, inventory, and responsibilities before the first guest arrives.

Confirm the rules and access process

Ask the building administration for its current rental, visitor, parking, and common-area procedures. Clarify who registers guests, what information is required, and when arrivals can be processed. Have the owner confirm applicable permissions and insurance with their own advisers.

Test the stay from the guest’s perspective

Check the route from the entrance to the unit, then test locks, water, hot water, cooling, Wi-Fi, lighting, and the appliances advertised. Write simple instructions for anything unfamiliar. Record unresolved faults and decide what must be completed before accepting a reservation.

Create a practical inventory

Count linens, towels, kitchen basics, cleaning equipment, and consumables. Record the location of shutoffs and equipment information for the operations team. Choose a storage location and an agreed restocking process so a turnover does not depend on an unplanned shopping trip.

Publish an accurate listing

Photograph the property as guests will receive it. Describe the actual beds, access arrangements, shared amenities, and relevant limitations. Keep a launch checklist with a named person responsible for each open item, and review it before making the calendar available.
